Ad Hoc Hydrogen Project Committee

September 10, 2025 - The Code Council informed its subaward recipients of its decision to terminate the federal award pursuant to 2 CFR 200.340. This decision arises not from shortcomings in our work, but from shifting DOE leadership, evolving federal priorities, and the Code Council’s reassessment of its strategy. PermitTechNation's subaward will formally end on October 10, 2025.

Going Forward, PermitTechNation remains fully committed to advancing these objectives under our previous commitment—regardless of the absence of federal funding. Together with the Code Council and our federal partners, we will now begin to determine which elements of the DE-EE001529 Statement of Project Objectives can still be achieved and carried forward.

September 12, 2024 - PERMITTECHNATION is proud to partner with the International Code Council (ICC) to support and offer guidance to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE),U.S. Department of Energy Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) and the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office (HFTO).

This collaboration is integral to successfully implementing the U.S. National Clean Hydrogen Strategy and Roadmap and the U.S. National Blueprint for Transportation Decarbonization through the Department's Hydrogen Program.

“PermitTechNation is proud to partner with the Code Council to support and offer guidance to the Department of Energy, Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy and the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office,” said PTN Vice President Kota Wharton on behalf of PermitTechNation's Board of Directors. "Through our partnership with the Code Council, PermitTechNation will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating challenges related to the siting, permitting, and installation of hydrogen infrastructure across the United States. Our collective efforts will ensure that the infrastructure supporting our domestic transportation and commerce sectors is developed, permitted, and maintained safely, equitably, and efficiently and that the dissemination of safety-related information is facilitated in robust, timely, and accessible means to all stakeholders."
