Welcome

A little about ourselves

PermitTechNation was founded by Permit Technicians from across the United States via networking through ICC and the Annual Conferences. The network of Permit Technicians has grown over the years and has encouraged further involvement. It all started with the Permit Tech Ad Hoc Committee and has grown into a community that supports, encourages and mentors each other.

Our top priority is to...
*  Mentor Permit Techs to work towards establishing an ICC               Permit Technician Chapter/Association in their respective
    State.
*  Promote ICC Permit Technician Certification.
*  Support, organize and participate in educational seminars             and training programs.

International Code Council Major Jurisdiction Committee

The Major Jurisdiction Committee (MJC) would like to invite you to submit "Best Practices" that your jurisdiction has successfully used in a code administration environment. Best practices are professional procedures that are accepted or prescribed as being correct or most effective. For examples of Best Practices, please visit our Best Practices Guide on the MJC website.

After review by the MJC Steering Committee, we will be posting your outstanding contributions. This is a perfect example of code officials helping one another improve without reinventing the wheel. This synergy will help each of us to better serve our community and our customers.

All submittals need to be submitted in the same format to simplify the search process. Please review the below-linked form for your "Best Practices" submission. You can submit your forms via email at mjc@iccsafe.org.  If you have any other comments or questions, please submit them to mjc@iccsafe.org. We are committed to providing you a prompt response. Thank you in advance for your consideration and submittals.

PermitTechNation is so proud to again team up with Women in Code Enforcement and Development (WICED) to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity at the International Code Council’s Annual Conference. This year’s conference was in Richmond, Va., and while rainstorms prevented us from working outside, it didn’t prevent our enthusiasm for working indoors at the Habitat for Humanity ReStores. Check out the fun in this ICC Building Safety Journal article written by Eirene Knott!
