Educators: PermitTechNation's goal is to provide various training and education on all topics code related. If you are an educator and would like to teach for PTN, please reach out to our Education Team.

Chapter Training: If your Chapter is offering education and meets the following guidelines, PTN is happy to post your training event on this webpage (see below). Please send the registration link and chapter logo (for non-members) to our Education Team.

PTN Chapter Member - in-person or virtual.
ICC Chapters/Associates - Non-Member - Must have virtual option.

ICC Training: PermitTechNation is a strong supporter of the International Code Council's Technical Training Program, which provides a flexible educational program designed to introduce the next generation of Building Professionals to the building codes, and the Military Families Path Program, which helps veterans who are transitioning to civilian life and military family members learn more about building safety career opportunities.

PTN offers the below webinars annually. Once dates are scheduled, a "Save the Date" will be posted below. Registration for each event generally opens 30 days prior to the event. If you are a member or are subscribed to our email list, you will receive an email when the webinar registration is open.

EDUCATIONAL EMAILS: If you opt-out of emails from PermitTechNation.org, you will not receive important event emails.

ICC STATE PT CHAPTERS: IF you are a member of an ICC State PT Chapter AND that State PT Chapter is a Chapter Member of PTN, you inherit PTN Chapter Membership Benefits.

MEMBER PRICING: Prior to registering for an event, you must be logged in as a member to receive member pricing. NO REFUNDS will be issued for registrations under the wrong category.

TIME ZONE: Event times listed below are Pacific Time Zone, unless otherwise noted. Your confirmation email will have your time zone.

WEBINAR REGISTRATION:

If you are a government agency, have your IT whitelist PTN's domain permittechnation.org to avoid emails going to spam. If attending The Code Specialist, whitelist gotowebinar.com.
Be prepared with your credit card when registering. The payment system times out registrations after 15 minutes and your registration will be cancelled.
Webinars hosted on GoToWebinar are a 2-step registration. Your registration confirmation email will indicate if a two-step OR will include the webinar link. For webinars hosted on GoToWebinar:

You register and pay through PTN. You will receive two (2) emails from PTN, a Paid Invoice and a confirmation email with a link to complete your registration through GoToWebinar (GTW).
Follow the directions/link provided in the PTN confirmation email to complete your registration through the GoToWebinar platform. Once you complete GTW registration, you will receive an email with confirmation, webinar link, and directions to test your system compatibility.

Pro Tips:

Member Pricing: Each member must login and register individually to receive member pricing. PTN's web platform does not support bulk registration for members.
Registration Confirmation: PTN is currently using using Google Meet for webinars; your webinar link is included in the registration confirmation email. The Code Specialist is through GoToWebinar. You will receive one (1) registration confirmation email from PTN and one (1) from GTW containing the webinar link. If you do not receive both of the confirmation(s), please check your spam folder or check with your IT department.
If you are unable to find your confirmation after checking your spam and asking your IT dept to whitelist PTN and GTW domains, please email education@permittechnation.org and training@permittechnation.org as soon as possible.
It is your responsibility to verify before the date of the webinar, that you have access to webinar platform. If you have issues, check with your IT dept. PTN is not able to troubleshoot system compatibility. Do not wait until the day of the webinar. Keep in mind that PTN is a volunteer-driven organization, and early communication helps ensure a smooth experience for everyone.
